Lisa D. Anderson, President - Positively in Pursuit

Lisa Anderson is the founder of Positively in Pursuit! an organization that provides comprehensive personal and professional development workshops to businesses and organizations for individuals to increase their employment, job retention potential, and economic independence. Positively in Pursuit! personal development series include workshops in communication skills, goal setting, change management, self-image, and time management.

Through Mrs. Anderson’s over twelve years experiences in the HR field with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring employees, she is able to coach individuals through the job seeking process with an emphasis on promoting long-term employment.

Accomplishments:

  • Co-designed and facilitated a job readiness program (STARS) for high school seniors in the District Heights, MD community.
  • Volunteered (five years) and served one year on the Board of Directors for Suited for Change, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help low-income women with professional clothing and ongoing career education.
  • In her capacity as a Human Resource Manager, she has served as Guest Speaker at Career Days throughout Prince George’s County, MD high schools.
  • Designed and facilitated management training programs in organizations such as KPMG, Care First Blue Cross Blue Shield, Giant Foods, and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

With more than ten years of experience in the field of human relations, leadership, team building, conflict resolution and empowerment training, Mr. Brown has successfully designed, implemented, and coordinated a variety of programs, seminars, and workshops for educational, corporate and not-for profit organizations.

Accomplishments:

  • Involved in the diversity, conflict resolution and team building training at Consolidated Edison, New York and the Nassau County Management Assessment Project; training was provided for upper/mid-level management and staff personnel; received special recognition for the work done on both projects.
  • Developed and administered team building and customer service training programs for regional and mid-level managerial staffs at Bell Atlantic, New Jersey; member of the consulting group providing interviewing skills training to management and staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, New York.

Marsha “Beck” Ford is founder of Beckford Information Services specializing in training and documentation services in Business Communications. Beckford Information Services adheres to the principles and guidelines of professional organizations including the Association of Independent Information Professionals and the International Coach Federation. Through seminars, courses and private coaching, Ms. Ford assists clients in improving their effectiveness – and fiscal bottom line – through enhanced communication skills in business English, interviewing, presentations, and research methods.

  • Trained over 100 children and adults in English as a Second Language and Business English for educational institutions, private clients, and business organizations such as ASET International, Arlington, VA.
